The art of being
Mental health awareness week! In these times of relentless busy-ness it’s so important to just be in the moment, focus just on that next step, embrace it, let go of the anxiety of having to do, worry about the future, overwhelm from the growing ‘to do’ list or burgeoning inbox. Taking care of yourself and being well requires mindful use of your energy and trust in yourself. Be alive, peaceful, joyful and loving… with yourself first!!

The KISS rule
Keeping it simple! That inner perfectionist voice sometimes needs to be silenced. Stop overthinking and overworking things and trust that good enough is actually perfect. Is simplicity the key to well-being and happiness?

Teardrops
One of the strangest things post stroke was the abundance of tears that flowed… at everything and nothing… for months… really freaked me (and the family!) out! I’ve never been someone who cried much so it was a bit unsettling. I let them flow freely, not that I had a choice really, and started to […]

It doesn’t matter. I love this building. This space. I love roaming through the exhibits. Poetry and dream… […]

Cet amour…
you may dream of other things… but you should know that i dream of you… i thought it would pass. i was wrong. maybe one day. now… your voice, written or spoken, swirls around me… sweetens my dreams. that is all. Cet amour Si violent Si fragile Si tendre Si désespéré Cet amour Beau comme […]

Bande a part…
I woke up this morning with a dream still vividly playing on my mind. A slightly bizarre and somewhat hysterically happy dream. I’m sure I laughed out loud in my sleep. It was a bit like Alice in Wonderland meets pub crawl meets Euro art tour… I was heading into the cinema with my daughter […]
